The consortium is a complete and balanced one, since it consists of one R&D partner with engineering background (CO: UPB-3CPS), one industrial partner (P2:BEIA ) which is a SME with one of its key activities as research and one R&D partner with scientific / theoretical background (P3: IFIN-HH).
The Coordinator, UPB, one of the greatest and oldest Romanian technical universities , is involved in this project with a team of researchers from the Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology Faculty – Communications and Signal Processing Research Centre .
Partner P2, BEIA Consult International, is a leading provider of telecommunications equipment in Romania, with over 20 years experience, having more than 10,000 application projects for telephone, telephone networks, voice and data communication networks, advanced communications solutions. Recently BEIA introduced research activities in the company charter, and has participated in several national and international funded research projects.
Partner P3, IFIN-HH, is one of the most important public R&D organizations in Romania having a contribution of almost 10% of the national scientific output. The institute is dedicated to research and development in physical and natural sciences, mainly Nuclear Physics and Nuclear Engineering, and in related areas including Astrophysics and Particle Physics, Field Theory, Mathematical and Computational Physics, Atomic Physics and Physics of Condensed Matter, Life and Environmental Physics. In all these fields, IFIN-HH conducts theoretical and experimental research. Over the past three years IFIN has successfully participated in more than 200 national projects and in 20 international projects of the European Commission’s Framework Programs 6 and 7.
